LENTIGO + NOSE
72 year young patient presented to me for lentigines on the nose. These photos were taken 4 weeks apart and she couldn’t be happier with the results.
The process takes around 10 days, 14 with heavy moisturizer use.
Treatment: Intense Pulsed Light
Days 1-2:
Lesions will appear darker, don’t panic, this is all part of the process.
Days 3-5:
The lesions become flakey, somewhat like coffee grounds or pepper on the skin. (It’s going to look like you could just scratch them right off and you probably could. Except, don’t.) Any premature picking or pulling can/will result in scarring.
Days 7-10:
The treated lesions will begin to slough off.
Most importantly, apply and reapply your sunscreen. I suggest an SPF of at least 60 and contains 4-7% zinc. Your skin is extremely susceptible to sun damage for the first 6 weeks following light/laser therapy.
