IPL FACE+ REJUVENATION

ntense Pulsed Light (IPL) devices are unique in that they employ flashlamps and bandpass filters to produce pulsed light of varying wavelengths, durations, and fluences. These aspects promote its versatility in treating numerous dermatological conditions. IPL is safe and effective in treating benign/pigmented lesions, vascular malformations, and hair removal. It’s an invaluable tool widely used today in dermatology and is used to address a broad range of medical and cosmetic concerns.

Treatment: Intense Pulsed Light

Days 1-2:
Lesions will appear darker, don’t panic, this is all part of the process.

Days 3-5:
The lesions become flakey, somewhat like coffee grounds or pepper on the skin. (It’s going to look like you could just scratch them right off and you probably could. Except, don’t.) Any premature picking or pulling can/will result in scarring.

Days 7-10:
The treated lesions will begin to slough off.

Most importantly, apply and reapply your sunscreen. I suggest an SPF of at least 60 and contains 4-7% zinc. Your skin is extremely susceptible to sun damage for the first 6 weeks following light/laser therapy.
